Hitch

Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-10-13

The short version

  • Use Hitch for honest links and pages — no scams, malware, spam or pretending to be someone else.
  • Paid names and features are subscriptions. You see the price before you pay, and you can cancel online at any time.
  • Changed your mind? You can withdraw within 14 days of buying for a refund (minus the days you used).
  • Your content stays yours. Your data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • Nothing here takes away rights you have under the consumer laws where you live.

1. Welcome

These terms are an agreement between you and Pawn X Ventures, the company that runs Hitch (“Hitch”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using Hitch, you agree to them. If you use Hitch for a business or team, you confirm you're allowed to accept these terms for it. Questions? Write to us at hello@hitch.top — a real person reads every email.

2. What Hitch does

Hitch lets you create short links, link-in-bio pages and Social Links on domains we operate, and shows you how they perform. We keep improving Hitch, so features, domains and the kinds of names on offer may change over time. If we remove something you're paying for, we'll tell you in advance and you won't pay for time you can't use.

3. Your account and workspace

Please give accurate details and keep your login safe — you're responsible for what happens in your account. Links, names and billing belong to a workspace, which can have several members with different roles. The workspace (not any one member) is the customer for billing. You need to be at least 13 years old, or older where your local law requires it, to use Hitch.

4. Using Hitch fairly

Please don't use Hitch to create links or pages that:

  • lead to phishing, malware, scams or other fraud;
  • break any law that applies to you or to us, including privacy and data protection laws;
  • infringe someone's copyright or trademark, or impersonate a person or business;
  • send spam or unsolicited bulk messages;
  • contain content that is defamatory, hateful, sexually exploits anyone, or encourages violence.

Don't try to break, overload or get around the limits and security of Hitch, and don't collect data about other users without their permission.

How we moderate. Anyone can report a link with our report form, and a person reviews each report. If something breaks these rules or the law, we may disable it, and in serious cases suspend the account. We'll usually tell you what we did and why, unless the law or safety reasons prevent it. If you think we got it wrong, reply or email hello@hitch.top and we'll take another look.

5. Names and usernames

Some names are free and some are paid — the pricing page and the name check show which, and the current price, before you buy. We may change which names are free or paid, and their prices, for new purchases at any time.

  • A paid name is yours while its subscription is active (including any free trial, free hold or payment grace period). If the subscription ends or stays unpaid, the name and its links may be released for someone else to use.
  • Links under a name (like yourname/offer) come with that name.
  • Social Links work while their subscription is active. We may release a username that has no active subscription.
  • Free names are first come, first served. We may reclaim a free name that has been unused for a long time.
  • Protected names. Some names can't be claimed, such as well-known brands and people, or the names of social platforms. We may take back a name or username that impersonates someone, infringes a trademark, or was registered against these terms.

A name gives you the right to use it on Hitch. It isn't a domain name or a trademark, and it can't be transferred outside Hitch.

6. Paying, renewals and price changes

Paid names and features are subscriptions, billed in advance through our payment processor (Stripe) for the period you choose at checkout. They renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. Checkout shows the price, the billing period and any taxes before you pay.

Free trials. If we offer a free trial, checkout shows how long it lasts and what you'll pay after it. Your card is charged automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel before then. We may limit trials (for example, one per workspace).

Free holds. We may let you hold a name for free for a limited time, without a card. The name and your links on it work during the hold, and we show you when it ends. To keep the name, pay before then; otherwise the name is released and the links on it are deleted. We may limit holds (for example, one per person) and end the offer at any time — a hold already running keeps its end date.

Price changes. If we change the price of a subscription you already have, we'll tell you in advance by email. The new price starts from a renewal after that notice, and you can cancel before it applies.

Failed payments. If a payment fails, we'll let you know and try again. If it stays unpaid, we may pause or end what that subscription covers (see section 5).

7. Cancelling, changing your mind and refunds

Cancel any time. You can cancel online in your account settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep what you paid for until the end of the current period.

14 days to change your mind. You may withdraw from a purchase within 14 days of buying it, and from a yearly plan within 14 days of each renewal, without giving a reason. Use “Withdraw from contract here” under Settings → Billing, or email hello@hitch.top saying that you withdraw. The subscription ends straight away and what it covers stops working. Because you ask us at checkout to start right away, we refund the payment minus an amount for the days you used it (in proportion to the billing period), to your original payment method within 14 days. Nothing is charged if you withdraw during a free trial. We confirm every withdrawal by email.

Apart from this, payments already made aren't refundable, except where the law where you live says otherwise or we decide to make an exception.

8. Fair use

We don't cut off links that people are already clicking. If usage is far above normal levels for a long time, or puts Hitch at risk, we'll contact you to work it out before limiting anything, except where we must act at once to protect the service or other people.

9. Your content

You keep ownership of the links, text, images and other content you add. You give us permission to store, copy, show and deliver it as needed to run Hitch for you, and you confirm you have the right to use it. This permission ends when you delete the content, apart from backups that are overwritten on a schedule. The Hitch name, logo, software and design belong to us.

10. Privacy and data processing

We handle personal data as described in our Privacy Policy, which is written to meet the EU and UK GDPR and US state privacy laws such as the CCPA. For account and link data you give us, we're the controller. For data about your visitors that we process to give you click statistics, we act on your behalf as a processor. Need a Data Processing Agreement (DPA)? Email hello@hitch.top.

11. Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete account, or by emailing hello@hitch.top. Deletion takes effect immediately: subscriptions are cancelled (with no refund for the current period, apart from your right to change your mind in section 7), and your workspaces, links, bio pages and names are deleted. Deleted data can't be recovered. The Privacy Policy explains what we keep afterwards (such as invoice records required by tax law) and for how long.

12. Suspension and ending these terms

You can stop using Hitch at any time. We may suspend or close an account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, for non-payment, or if the law requires it. We'll normally warn you first and give you a chance to fix the problem or save your data. We may act immediately in cases of fraud, abuse or risk to others. If we close your account without a breach on your part, we'll refund any unused prepaid time.

13. Our responsibility to you

We work hard to keep Hitch fast and reliable, but we provide it “as is” and can't promise it will always be available or error-free. We're not responsible for websites that links point to, or for content our users create.

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as lost profits, revenue or data), and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before it arose or US$50.

Your rights as a consumer aren't affected. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited — such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud — or takes away rights that the consumer laws of your country give you.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Hitch and the law change. When we do, we'll change the date at the top. If a change matters for you, we'll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. If you don't agree with a change, you can cancel and stop using Hitch before it applies; continuing to use Hitch after that means you accept the updated terms.

15. Disputes

If something goes wrong, please email hello@hitch.top first — most problems can be fixed quickly. If you're a consumer in the EU or UK, you can also bring a claim in the courts where you live and rely on the mandatory consumer protections of your country. The same applies anywhere else where local law gives you that right.

16. Who we are and governing law

Hitch is operated by Pawn X Ventures, a business registered in Malaysia under registration number 202403086326 (NS0295100-P). Contact: hello@hitch.top. Written notices: 18, Jalan Austin Heights 5/28, 81100 Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia.

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and its courts can hear disputes about them, subject to section 15 and the consumer rights mentioned above. If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a part straight away, we can still do so later.
